We would like to introduce this season's most confident pieces from NIKAMOTO, who is currently working as a designer for HAN DROOM.
Having worked as a men's designer for over 20 years, one category that particularly appeals to me is military wear.
I love exploring world history and culture, and as a menswear designer, military wear is an essential source of inspiration when putting together my collections each season.
While I don't want to endorse fighting itself, it is true that military wear has been developed to protect the lives of many warriors throughout history. Whenever I think about that background, it inspires my creativity.
Of course, I think the technology and discerning eye for replicating the real thing is amazing. However, I find it particularly rewarding to select materials and accessories while keeping a sense of modernity in mind, and then commission a factory with the optimal sewing techniques to turn it into a garment suitable for everyday wear. By fusing all these elements, I always aim to create "a garment that has never existed, that hits the spot."
Confident Product No. 1: PCU Vest

The first item I would like to introduce is a piece inspired by the PCU (Protective Combat Uniform) vest made for the US military special forces.
This is based on the items that are classified as the highest level in the seven-level layering system developed by the US military.
For the outer fabric, we wanted to use a lightweight, luxurious, and highly functional material, so we chose the ultra-lightweight, water-repellent material from OLMETEX, which is highly acclaimed worldwide. We also paid close attention to the selection of the padding and interlining to match this lightweight material, and for the lining we used a double Russell material that is moisture-wicking, quick-drying, lightweight, and has excellent heat retention.
In addition, by placing elastic spindles around the neck and hem, we have increased the warmth while also allowing you to enjoy changing the silhouette.
In fact, when I went out wearing it over a thin knit on a cold day, I found that although the sleeves were a little cold, my torso was very warm, and I was impressed by how well it protected me from the cold, far better than I had imagined.

Next, we would like to introduce snow camo pants made from the same material.
These pants were originally adopted by the US military for combat in snowy regions and were designed as an oversized piece to be worn over pants. However, to fit in with the HAND ROOM collection, we have given them a moderately slim and elegant silhouette.
These pants are not padded, but instead take advantage of the soft drape created by the OLMETEX material and double Russell weave. Still, they are a pair that will keep you warm enough.
When folded and stored, the outer fabric may become wrinkled, but simply smoothing it out with a steamer will give it a beautiful and elegant finish.
The waistband is elastic for stability, and the spindle allows for precise size adjustment. The hem also has an elastic spindle, allowing you to freely change the silhouette. Wear it straight for an elegant look, or cinch the hem for a sporty style.
